Association La Strada
The Association La Strada is the institution that has given origin to most of the activities of the Group La Strada.
It has been founded in the 1980s as voluntary association in order to provide answers to the needs of a suburban area of Milan. In the course of the years La Strada has supported the creation of many charities (such as associations and social cooperatives).
In 1998 the Municipality of Milan granted the Ambrogino, a civic award in recognition for the activities of the association.
Today it is the “head” of the Group La Strada which is formed by more than 10 no-profit organisations.

La Strada Social Cooperative Society
The Social Cooperative Society La Strada was constituted in 1993. It inherited the activities managed since then by the volunteer association.
It was founded to better organize and structure the existing services for minors and adults in need and it was successful in expanding the activities and the interventions to help indigent adolescents, contrast school dropout, drug dependence and aids, homelessness, support minors victims of maltreatment and abuse, etc…
It develops its activities most of all in the territory of Milan.
