The TIAMA Centre (Tutela Infanzia e Adolescenza Maltrattata – Protection of abused Childhood and adolescence) is a highly specialized center for minors, victims of abuse and mal treatment, and their families.


It develops two types of activities:
  • the clinical activity of diagnosis and treatment of the post traumatic diagnosis following childhood victimization experiences;
  • the activity of heightening awareness, education, training and dissemination of “best practices” on the theme of childhood mal treatment.

The center realizes specialized individual and group interventions of psycho-diagnosis and psychotherapy to minors abused and adults abused in their childhood. It also offers legal assistance to minors in legal cases (both civil and penal), counseling and supervision to social, psychological, health workers and educators of the territorial services.The operators of the center offer as well training and education courses to organizations and professionals working in the field of violence against minors on social, psychological, educational, clinical and legal areas.People working in the center have long and wide-ranging experience on the identification and treatment of violence against minors and have legal, psychological, educational and training competences.
